Description

The anonymous letter approaches a quite controversial passage from Aristotle's Rhetoric, book 1 devoted to the notions of verisimile and segno. The same aristotelian passage is the object of a commentary by Fausto Sozzini (cf. ms. Siena, BC, P.V.15). The author refers to a previous discussion of the topic concerned with both the unnamed addressee and the humanist Antonio Riccoboni.
