&lt;5v&gt; &lt;introduction&gt; PROEMIO &lt;inc&gt; Per osservar quel costume che da' Greci espositori è stato laudabilmente osservato, non vo' mancare innanzi a questa mia fatica di non dir con brevità alcune cose in cambio di quelle che i Greci hanno chiamate [tà prolegòmena], et io le dirò qui cose da essere innanzi manifestate per maggior chiarezza di quello, che dappoi seguita di dirsi. &lt;8v&gt; &lt;expl&gt; et questa è per haver voluto la nostra lingua, che da tutta l'Italia è tenuta bellissima et honoratissima, arricchire di questa opera: la quale se ben nella greca et nella latina lingua è chiarissima et utilissima, non meno forse in questa che in quelle potrà mantener lo splendore et essere a molti di giovamento.
