Filippo Arrighetti, born in Florence in 1582, studied philosophy in Pisa and Padua; appointed in Florence as a “canonista penitenziereâ€ù by pope Urban VIII, he was a member of the Accademia Fiorentina and Accademia degli Alterati; he did not publish his several works and died in 1662 (Negri 1722: 166; Inghirami 1841-1844: XII, 142-143).
