Discorso per via peripatetica

Title

Discorso per via peripatetica

Description

As the author affirms in the dedication letter to cardinal Flavio Orsini, the Discorso aims at demonstrating the immortality of the soul through a critical consideration of Aristotle's statements on the topic as well as his later readers and commentators. Odoni refers to several classic, medieval and contemporary sources - including the Greek commentators of Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, Giovanni Pico, Pietro Pomponazzi - in order to make Aristotle himself agree with Christian theology.
